The Psychology of Colors in Marketing
Different colors have different effects on people. The psychology of colors in marketing can really help a product make it or break it.
The color red encourages the appetite. Blue provides a sense of security while the color green resembles harmony. Purple is associated with royalty and orange is the color of enthusiasm. Pink is the color for love and compassion. Yellow is the color of happiness. The color black resembles power and elegance.
Statistically, it is said that 85% of buyers are primarily attracted to a product because of its color. Using the right color to attract the right type of customers for each brand can enhance sales.
Colors will stimulate men and women differently as such:
-Men are usually most comfortable with the color blue as it calm the mind and provides a sense of security.
-The colors orange and yellow can have negative effects on buyers as too much of them can produce anxiety.
-The color green is mostly used to promote environmental items.
-Purple is a very attractive color for women and thus is it mostly used in skincare products.
-Red is mostly an indicator of food hence why we see it a lot in food items and fast food restaurants.
Colors can sometimes be the sole purpose behind a purchase. Again depending on the type of product and the target audience, colors can be wisely selected to match both.
Use your colors wisely and when you are branding and even when you prepare for marketing campaigns as they can shift your numbers immensely.
